WORKSHOP FIRE ACCIDENT
Fire is a flame, light, heat and sometimes smoke which results from burning or combustion of fuel.
Merits of fire
Fire is used for combustion, heating, lighting, protection, etc.
Demerits of fire
It is destructive to life and properties when it occurs unexpectedly
Types of fire
Fire accidents are classified into three (3) categories
- Chemical fire: This is a fire that results from ignition of inflammable materials such as petrol, diesel, kerosine etc. the exposure of naked light to these materials results in destructive five or an inferno.
- Electrical fire: This is a fire caused by over voltage or electrical surge in electronics and electrical appliances.
- Wood, Paper and Cloth fire: These are solid fuel which are easily set on fire when ignited.
Evaluation
